Drake GS:TEM-Mini Thread Grinder
Ideal for grinding taps and other small
cutting tools
With a work envelope of just 100mm x100mm, Drake’s new GS:TEM-MINI
Thread Grinder is aimed at higher volume, precision threaded parts
manufacturers in the cutting tool, automotive, aerospace and medical
equipment industries.
A recently shipped “MINI” with a Drake
fast-cycling autoloader was configured to grind M0.8 – 0.25
taps for threading holes in cell phone circuit boards.

Automatic Magazine Loader System
The automatic rocker style magazine loader is integrated with the CNC system. Drake includes auto load magazines for any
two part numbers.
Cell-friendly footprint
With a cell-friendly footprint, the GS:TEM is easily integrated
into manufacturing cells. Only 1.2 m wide x 1.8 m deep and
weighing 3,000 kg, the GS:TEM can be moved around the shop easily with a forklift.
PartSmart™ Menu Driven Software
Like all Drake grinders the GS:TEM-MINI comes equipped with Drake’s
PartSmart™ menu-driven software with customer’s parts pre-programmed
into its system. No programming knowledge is needed. The operator simply
follows the screen prompts and enters the values.
