Machine Tool Builder

We are seeking a Machine Tool Builder to work at our Warren, Ohio headquarters. The Drake Builder likes to work with his/her hands; has hobbies that involve the use of mechanical skills and is multi-talented. Join our team that produces custom precision grinding machines.

 Qualifications

• Graduate of technical school, machine trades apprenticeship, or at least 5 years of related work experience as a mechanic, machinist, airplane mechanic or other similar experience.
• Knowledge of machine function; machine shop operations; ability to use lathes, drill presses, milling machines, and grinders; and competence in reading blueprints, schematics, and using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
• Must have the ability to work in close vicinity of high-powered magnets
• Must be willing to travel at least 6 days per quarter to customer sites
• Safety and Quality conscious individual
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and other Drake Employees
